INFORMATION ABOUT RABBITS

Rabbits are a special kind of animal called a "mammal." Baby rabbits grow in their mama's body. Rabbits eat rabbit food, and they have to chew on carrots or twigs because their front teeth are always growing, and need to be kept short by gnawing. They hop a lot and they like to chew things like electrical cords and cardboard boxes. Rabbits can't see very far, but they have a great sense of smell. When they twitch their noses, that means they are smelling things.
Rabbits have many enemies in the wild: dogs (including foxes and wolves), some birds (eagles, owls), and some people. They protect themselves through camouflage and by running away from danger.

DUTCH RABBITS
One special kind of rabbit is the Dutch rabbit. They are always two colors. Sometimes, they are brown and white. Sometimes, they are black and white. They don't grow very large, compared to most rabbits. When they are all grown up, they weigh five pounds. They make great pets because they hardly make any noise and they have gentle personalities.
