I talked to my grandma Irene. She was born at Bismark, North Dakota, on September 29, 1934.

She walked to school. It was Catholic school and very strict,

She did these kinds of chores .She had to keep her room clean and put away the silverware and iron and her mother made some of her clothes and she war heavy brown stockings alas dressed .

Here are some food costs.Bread cost 19 cents popcickle costs 5 cents.

She earned money and this is how.She earned money by saying "Merry Christmas" first. She mostly ate German food.Depression food.Lots of .And no they did not grow foods.

She played paper dolls and hide go seek and she read lots of books and she played jacks and rover and kick the can.

When she was naughty she got a spanking.

She lived in a town.It was a small house it had 2 bedrooms downstairs,1 attic room she slept downstairs in winter on.The biggest change was computers,tech,TV and telephones.
