When and where were you born? Brooklyn NY april 27 1942

How was your school different from our school now? How did you get to school? Grades 1-8 then high school no joonyer high school you had to wear a colared and tie to school or else you culdn't go I walked for 1/2 hour to school no school buses

What chores did you do when you were in second grade? I hade to caery the trash cans out everyday I hade to sweep the sidwalk and airey way the airey is the front of the apt. building

What kind of clothes did you were? Did your mother make clothes? no jeans not allowed pessed pants collared shirt all the teachers ware ties and dressed like teachers no we went to the army navy surplus sture and dyed then if wanted them black brown or green.

What did toys and food cost when you were 7 or 8? We had no lunch room but milk cost 2 cents and we had make our our own lunch we liked toplay with toy guns and we could bring them to school.

Did you ever earn money when you were in second grade? how? no but I got an allowance of 35 cents per week.

Do you have a short story or anecdote that kids my age might enjoy? we used to play stickball in the street We hade our own scooters out of milkcratesc and an old rollerskate and we used to follow the ice man. He would come twice a week. We paid 25 cents for a block of ice for our ice box.

What kind of food did you eat? how much of food did you grow? No junk food! all we had was hot dogs from the push cart man. none. I lived in an apartment house.

What did children do for fun when you were my age? What games did you play? Tell about your favorite toy. tag stickball hop-along cassidy six gun set with hat shirt champs and pearl-handled six-gun cap guns anericans vs japs.

What happened when you were naughty? my father beat me with a belt.
