When and where were you born? She was born in Spokan Washington,Nov,16,1917.

How was your school different from our school now?How did you get to school? Grandma's hanky.

School in Seattle :F.A. McDonald. She walked to school. She walked with two friends.

What chores did you do when you were in second grade? She had to make her big bed,She washed dishes, She had to take the ashes out of the stove.

What kind of clothes did you wear? Did your mother make your clothes? She wore a dress to school, Also long stockings, Her mother made most of the clothes. Here's how grown-ups dressed.

What did toys and food cost when you were 7or8? Her toys wer bot at the dime store,bread was also ten cents, Milk was also ten cents.

Did you ever earn money when you were in second grade? How? She never got paid, Her dad always kept pennies in his pocket for treats.

Do you have a short story or anecdote that kids my age might enjoy? Her sisters and friends made a clubhouse, They played house, They said no boys allowed.

What kind of food did you eat? How much of your food did you grow? Her family didn't grow their own food. The same as we eat today.

What happened when you were naughty? Spanked, stand in the corner. What kind of house did you live in? Was it in a town or in she country?A wooden house in the city of Seattle.

What is the biggest change since you were a child? Radio,T.V., computers, airplanes.
