
The horse is a mammal belonging to the same family (Equidae).
The horse family was on earth be for man by some 50 million years these horses were 10 inches high.
The first domestic horse appeared in China by 1000 B.C. domestic horses had spread all over Asia, Europe, and North Africa.Then king wanted them to ride and the kings used them for chariot races. Horses came to America in 16th century by Spanish explorers.

TheIndians stoled and traded for horses but many horses escaped and became wild horses roaming the western plains. Horses were then used for pulling stagecoaches before the days of trains and cars. Horses were used on farms for pulling plows, heavy wagons and in herding cattle, horses were also used for pulling canal boats. today in the 20th century we use horses for racing, pleasure riding and we still use them for herding cattle we also use them in horse shows.

Most horses are fed some combination of pasture grass, hay, alfalfa or
clover hay and grain(oats,corn,barley, or wheat) they can eat between 6-12
pounds of grain and 10 to 20 pounds of hay a day.
There are at least 60 recognized breed's of horses rangeing in sizes from 10 hand to 17.2 hand (if a horse is 58 in. high is said to be 14.2 hands) Each breed has its own marking and its own shade of colors. Like a buckskin is grayish yellow; black mane and tail and usually a black stripe down its back often with other black markings.
