Our class wrote and illustrated bat stories based on "Stellaluna" by Janelle Cannon

Bats eat insects and hand upside down. Stellaluna eats fruit and one day Stellaluna was born and flew out to find some fruit. An owl bumped into her and her baby fell into the woods. One branch was small enough for her feet and then she fell. She could not fly and she fell and fell and fell. She was worried but she fell in a nest. The birds took care of her. One time the mother bird flew back to the nest. The End
